The Date: End of May 2013

The Place: Buckland St Mary Church, Marquee at Home in Kentisbeare, Devon

Good evening! So this is our very first blog for our very new website! The rain is howling so I’m going to take the opportunity to show you all these fab photos from Emma and John who got married in glorious sunshine earlier this year!

What a romantic… Flowers from hubby to be, delivered by us first thing in the morning to a very calm bride!

Emma loved the Bluebells that this time of year brings and wanted something stylish with blousy ivory Peonies…

So we filled everything we could with huge ivory Duchesse Peonies, blousy ivory Roses and lots of Bluebells!!

The church of Buckland St Mary is very elaborate in décor and being the largest church in the area, a few select floral displays needed create a wow factor!

The very beautiful Lytch gate dressed both sides with blousy ivory flowers and silver and soft green foliages made the ultimate entrance and exit to that special moment.

Also a great talking point in the village throughout the week before and after as these gates serve as a bus stop, local gossip spot and weather shelter too!

John wore a buttonhole to compliment Emmas bouquet with a little sprig of Jasmine and the rest of the groomsmen wore Bluebells to compliment their smart grey suits and soft blue ties and the bridesmaids flowers. Don’t you think this colour scheme looks stunning? And we are in love with Emma’s dress!

Moving into the marquee, the oval shaped top table was dressed with a swag of green foliages and ivy which we trailed over both ends and then filled with fluffy white Gypsophila, blousy ivory Roses and the biggest ivory Duchesse Peonies I think we have used this year! Then scattered across the rest of the table was a selection of various sized chapel candles and tea lights which together with the table centres added a beautiful ambience around the marquee for the evening.

Thank you to you both and to Martin Hill for the brilliant photos (not the amateur one above!) x
